Job Title: QC Inspector – Multidiscipline
Job Summary:
Responsible for inspecting and monitoring mechanical, welding, piping, pipeline, fabrication, and coating activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved ITPs, client requirements, and applicable international codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect fabrication, welding, piping, pipeline, and structural activities.
Conduct fit-up, visual welding, preheating, interpass temperature, and PWHT inspections.
Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, material certificates, and welding consumables.
Review NDT reports including PT, MT, UT, and RT and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Monitor welding repairs and follow up on quality issues and NCR close-out.
Inspect blasting, painting, coating, and underground pipeline wrapping activities.
Monitor surface preparation, environmental conditions, WFT, DFT, adhesion, and holiday testing.
Verify calibration and validity of inspection and measuring equipment.
Prepare inspection reports, surveillance reports, NCRs, and quality records.
Prepare quality dossiers in accordance with contractual and project requirements.
Coordinate with construction, engineering, client, and other QC disciplines to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or Metallurgy Engineering.
Relevant certifications such as CSWIP 3.1/3.2.2, AWS-CWI, and NDT Level II in MT, PT, UT, and RT.
BGAS Level 2, NACE/AMPP Coating Inspector Level 2, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in fabrication, welding, piping, and pipeline works.
Minimum 5 years of experience in blasting, painting/coating, and underground pipeline wrapping.
Good knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, ISO, NACE/AMPP, and BS standards.
Good English communication, reporting, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
