Job Code: DU/CE/ECE/26-27/01,02,03 Position Title: LECTURER/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Area: Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering specialization). Salary and rank: Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience. Appointment type: Academic, annual basis (renewable) Starting Date: The preferred start date for successful candidates to join is 1st January 2027 Responsibilities and Expectations The faculty will be part of the Academic department with the following responsibilities. 1. Teach undergraduate courses in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. 2. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement. 3. Undertake research activities and publish in reputable Scopus-indexed journals. 4. Demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. 5. Develop and deliver innovative teaching methods that promote student-centered learning. 6. Supervise student projects and provide academic advising. 7. Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and program development initiatives. 8. Utilize modern educational technologies and digital learning platforms effectively. Eligibility Conditions: The candidate should: To be eligible for the position, the candidate must meet the following requirements: 1. Hold a Master/PhD in Electrical Engineering, preferably with Power Engineering specialization or a closely related field, from a university recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Sultanate of Oman. 2. The candidate’s master’s degree cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) should be no less than 3.20 on a 4-point scale or equivalent. 3. Candidates must have at least two years of higher education teaching experience in Electrical Engineering at recognized institutions of higher education, post-PhD. 4. Experience in power systems, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, or power electronics applications is highly desirable. 5. Preference will be given to those with significant contributions to scientific research and published work in Power Engineering. 6.
